Industrial security
Industrial security is about the gate, the contractors and the hours when the site changes shift. Professional Security Services Ltd provides officers for plants, yards and similar sites across the West Midlands. Shift change is when sites get messy
People arrive together, a contractor is early, and a wagon is in the wrong bay. An officer who has been briefed can keep that queue moving and still refuse the person who is not booked. We ask for your site rules, induction requirements and the name of the person we call if there is an incident. We do not send an officer onto a site with no induction if your rules say they need one.
Perimeter fencing, locks and cameras remain your equipment. The officer uses them. If a gate is regularly left open because the post is unmanned, the fix is usually a person at the busy hours plus mobile patrols later, not a promise that a nightly drive-by replaces a gatehouse.
Construction entrances
Construction security, for us, means manned cover on a site entrance or compound: signing people in against your list, watching plant and materials, and calling you when something is not right. It is not a claim that we design temporary works or manage the build. If the site is in Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall or elsewhere in the region, send the postcode and the programme.

An officer who knows who is still signed in when the shift should have ended.
Handover
A clear pass from one officer to the next, or from the officer back to your supervisor.
Questions
How is this different from warehouse security?
Industrial cover is aimed at plants, yards, contractors and construction entrances. Warehouse cover is aimed at inventory, docks and distribution schedules. Some sites need both. The combined overview is on our [industrial and warehouse](/industrial-and-warehouse-security) page.
Can you guard a factory gate at shift change only?
Yes. Short, busy windows are often more useful than an officer with nothing to do at midday. Tell us the real peak.
Are officers SIA licensed?
Officers on licensable guarding posts need the appropriate SIA licence. That is not the same as the company holding SIA Approved Contractor status, which we do not claim.
