Cannock is just north of Walsall, in Staffordshire, with a town centre, retail parks including the orbital retail area, and industrial estates. It is outside the West Midlands county and inside the area we actually drive.
Retail parks need officers who can work a large car park and a store door, then a lock-up. Town-centre shops are a smaller post. Industrial estates towards the edges of the town are patrol and warehouse work. Brownhills is the Walsall town on the way, so a northbound loop from our office can be planned properly rather than as an afterthought.
We do not claim Cannock Chase visitor sites as standing contracts. If you operate a premises there and need dates covered, ask. Leisure days and retail Saturdays should be booked as the days they are.
