An office needs security that can sit in a professional setting. Staff and clients should be able to walk in without feeling as if they have arrived at a checkpoint, while people who should not be there are still stopped. A reception that can also say no
Most of the working day is ordinary. Visitors sign in, contractors are expected, and a meeting room needs unlocking. The officer has to handle that politely and still notice the person who is trying to follow someone through a door. We select people who can hold both parts of the job. Appearance matters in a client-facing lobby, and so does judgement.
We do not install access-control equipment or CCTV. Where you already have passes, a visitors’ book or cameras, the officer follows your procedure and uses those tools. If you want someone simply to be a visible presence in the evening after the building empties, say that. It is a different brief from a daytime reception post.
What we need from you
A useful office assignment starts with the building, not a generic guard package. Tell us how many entrances are in use, whether there is a goods lift or car park, which floors are tenanted, and what “out of hours” means for you. We will then suggest hours that match the risk, which may be a day officer, a lock-up, mobile patrols overnight, or key holding if alarm response matters more than a permanent post.
We cover offices in Birmingham, Solihull, Wolverhampton and other towns from our base in Walsall. There is no second office in the city centre.

Meeting planned contractors and making sure they work where they were told to, not wherever a door happened to be open.
Quiet hours
Internal and external checks when the building is empty, with a note of anything left insecure.
Questions
Can an officer work on our reception desk?
Yes, if that is the brief. Some clients want a security officer beside their own receptionist. Others want the officer to be the person who meets visitors. We need to know which one you want.
Do you supply corporate security in Birmingham business districts?
Yes. We cover city-centre and out-of-town offices from Walsall, including the main Birmingham commercial areas. Ask us about the specific building and shift pattern.
Will the officer wear your uniform?
Officers wear Professional Security uniform unless we have agreed something else with you. In a formal lobby the uniform is smart and understated.
