Event security fails when it is booked too late or briefed too thinly. Professional Security Services Ltd provides officers for corporate functions, venue doors, private celebrations and public gatherings across the West Midlands. The job is to keep entry under control and the floor calm, without treating every guest as a problem.
Tell us the event, not just the headcount
We need the venue, the date, the hours including load-in, the type of event, and how people get in. A seated dinner, a ticketed gig and a brand launch in a hotel ballroom do not need the same team. If alcohol is on sale, if there is a stage, or if guests and the public share a space, say so at the start. We would rather turn a job down than pretend a two-person team can cover a site we have not understood.
Searchers, door supervisors and stewarding roles are not interchangeable. Door supervision is licensable. We will only put an officer on a licensable post if they hold the right SIA licence. We do not claim to be an approved-contractor scheme company.
How the day is run
Before the doors open, the team should know the entry points, the search policy you have set, where the medical point is, and who can authorise an ejection. During the event they watch density, queues and the edges of the site, not just the front door. Afterwards they stay until the venue is clear if that is what you have booked.

What the assignment can include
Floor
Officers positioned where people actually gather, not lined up for a photograph at the start and then left without a plan.
Incidents
A named lead officer, a way to reach them, and a short report after the event if something had to be dealt with.
Load-out
Staying with equipment and contractors until the site is handed back, when that hour is on the booking.
Questions
How early should we book event security?
As soon as the date and venue are fixed. Weekend dates and anything that needs several licensed door staff get harder to staff at short notice. Contact us with the details and we will say whether we can take it.
Do you cover arenas and stadiums?
We cover events where we can agree a proper brief and supply the right licensed officers. We do not imply that we are the contracted security company for any named venue.
Can you provide security for a corporate event in a hotel?
Yes. Tell us the hotel, the room, the numbers and whether the event is private or ticketed. We can often combine event staff with lobby cover if the hotel wants that.
